Moseley Development

Moseley Development is a team designed to give opportunities to aspirational players who wish to develop and be seen in a challenging environment.  The team plays around eight fixtures per season and is coached by Moseley Oak Head Coach, John White and managed by Moseley Oak Chairman, John Richards.  This season the team has also benefited from the presence of North Midlands Coach, Dan Protherough and former Ireland Centre and Moseley backs coach, Kevin Maggs.

Development matches are played on the Moseley 1st XV pitch at the Billesley Common playing complex. The pitch was constructed in 2004 to IRB International Standards and boasts a covered seating grandstand and full flood lighting.

Other facilities include the use of a large modern changing room with built in shower room, dedicated physio room and a pitch side bar with full catering and w/c facilities as well as Sky TV on plasma screens showing all major sporting events.

Matches take place on Monday evenings and attract a good crowd. Selected players are of a high standard resulting in very entertaining matches against Representative and Academy sides.

The next Moseley Development fixture kicks off at 7:30pm on Monday 14th February at Billesley Common against the North Midlands U21 squad. This fixture's squad will represent players from all 3 tiers at Moseley including Moseley 1st XV, Moseley Oak and Moseley Colts.
