Aaron Boyce Memorial 7's
May 2008 marked the third anniversary of the tragic passing of Aaron Boyce, a talented 16 year old rugby player. Aaron’s family has stong links with both Selly Oak and Moseley Rugby Clubs who after the success of the last two tournaments ran this years tournament and a fun family day out in Aaron’s memory.
This years tournament took place on Saturday 17th May 2008 at Moseley RFC.
The rugby was played on four pitches throughout the day, moving to Moseley’s showcase pitch for the semi-finals, plate final and cup final. Harborne RFC were the winners of the Plate Final & Moseley RFC won the CUp competition. As well as the rugby, professionally run family orientated off-field entertainment was organised for throughout the day. After the rugby and presentations were completed the evening barbecue was lit and Fat Ankles (The local Oasis Tribute Band) started playing in the clubhouse during the late afternoon and into the night...
This year has taken a positive twist, with Wooden Spoon coming on board, providing both assistance and coverage in the rugby world. All proceeds raised will this year be split evenly between Guide Dogs and Wooden Spoon.

Thanks to everyone who took part & who came along to support this fantastic day of rugby. A great deal of fun was had and all for a good cause. The day would not have been possible without your support.
