Moseley Oak 38 - 36 Stoke on Trent

A very exciting and convincing second half from Moseley was in great contrast to their first half performance.

Playing down the slope, Stoke looked in control in most areas and after 26 minutes were deservedly 19-0 ahead.

Things got better still for the visitors who had scored 5 tries before Matt Woodhouse’s try opened Moseley’s account. At half time the deficit of 7-36 suggested “game over”.

The second half was very different. The introduction of Richard Scott made a difference and he soon scored his first after a Charles Baffour break.

Tom Peake then brought it to 21-36 after Gareth Jones’ conversion.

Richard Scott then added 2 more tries, one with the last play of the game to claim his hat trick.

A five point win which at one stage looked unlikely but which was very welcome.
