 Moseley Oak 14 - 3 Stourbridge Lions

The rain began to fall during the warm up and continued throughout the game. They were challenging conditions and both sides coped well.

Moseley began playing up the slope and despite winning plenty of possession did not come away with any points.

Scrum half Jack Butcher was carried off with a leg injury after 2 minutes and was replaced by John Byrne.

Angus Low clashed heads with Charley Thomas and had to leave the field.

The first half ended with a penalty from Stourbridge kicked from four metres within their own half.

Playing down the hill in the second half, Moseley increased the pressure by kicking long and playing for long periods in Stourbridge territory.

Both tries came from sustained possession, the first from Charley Thomas and the second from Paul Cox. Ollie Thomas was successful with the conversations.

Defence was good in both the narrow channels and out wide and the win puts Moseley Oak in 6th place in the mix of the teams just behind the leading 3.
